We are a not-for-profit Recording Label (RecLab) seeking to work with passionate musicians to make some awesome sounds and release them - in spirit - to the public domain (technically CC:A, non-$, SA).  We have a YouTube Music channel and free music downloads on our bandcamp.  Enjoy, share, donate, or drop us a line about a recording/production/sound design gig! 

T.U.F.F.~L.U.V.S.~RecLab is the front end 'publishing division' all about open source creativity, unity & connection, artistic expression, the laissez faire power of word of mouth, and exploration & growth.  We are always happy to network with more people who are also inspired by this 'Open Source' vision.

SuR.Real~Saturn~Satellite~Studios is the back end recording studio and the creative force behind the content.  Although the founder and core group release their works on the T.U.F.F.~L.U.V.S.~RecLab, the studio is open to working with others who do not share the open source philosophy, although we are naturally more excited about working with individuals who want to share with the world and trust in their fans to support them.  

     We believe in music as a powerful medium for spiritual growth and appreciating other cultures.  Respect and dignity take place of the concept of ownership.  Artists works are never controlled by us and all works are open to the public to share and build upon (remix & flip).  We also believe cooperation - not competition - is the root key (especially when it comes to art!).  Naturally, we strive to remove all limitations since freedom is the goal, so no worries about contracts with the devil.  We are open to dialog about each potential client's needs, whether you want to get on board, jump ship, or collaborate on copyright material - we are open to negotiation.  We like to be open minded and realize that others will have different ideas on how they make their living in music.   

    Life is short.  Music is real.  We are donation based and open sourced (like wiki).  This allows us to focus on the music and not paperwork and management.  The idea is all recordings put out by us are open source.  We also do recordings and productions for individuals not interested in being part of the label.  All our releases come from the heart, are motivated by spontaneous soul.  There is not business strategy for fam and fortune - we have enough business already making Art.  If any samples are employed - in say turntabalism - we only put out what we feel falls under the fair use clause.  It is impossible to scan everything for 'likeness' or understand everyone's nuanced definition of 'unfair use' so please note that although you won't hear static from us, we are unable to guarantee that any and all creative derivations will be uncontested.  You might even sample one of our free jazz %100 DIY diddies, flip it out into a new song that sounds TOTALLY different, and then some pop diva with too much money says that your melodic line sounds 'too similar' and sues you for copyright infringement - such is a little taste of the absurdity of the modern world.  So much energy spent dividing everything into nothing rather multiplying works up into transcendent freedom. 

    We just want to make music wherever creativity leads us.  We are not aiming to steal or rip off anyone, we simply want to carry the touch of the living tradition of music.  Our goal is to open and explore the gene pool of music and mix up some new DNA - we're artists seeking novelty, not entertainers seeking likene$$!  Nevertheless, there is always the chance of perception of wrongdoing.  Please drop a line if you feel there is infringement but first note you may use recordings for financial gain (if you have to right to do so) and that such samples and/or 'likeness?' were used spontaneously for artistic and/or historic education - not money or ego.  Big labels: no hate ~ we appreciate the music history you've left us - please ensure the future of that legacy.  Rest assured we are not turning a profit or exploiting you - we are simply a commune of artists following the visions calling us day and night.  And although we do not copyright releases this does not condone piracy - where you simply download the tracks and claim you're the artist while charging mad money!  Rest assured we don't do that - it all goes back to our philosophy of respect, not ownership.  Give the artists the proper credit and love while letting the art be free and flourish to it's highest potential!  You are free to listen, share, mix, follow that spontaneous inspiration when chopping up some hip-hop beats, etc... just don't lie, don't outright steal - it all comes down to commonsense and respect.  We're happy to have you on board with our quest to facilitate the creation, appreciation, & continuation of Music of all kinds.  Blessings <3 ॐ
